CANDON CITY, Ilocos Sur—Senatorial candidate Camille Villar reaffirmed her commitment to women empowerment as she joined thousands of women in celebrating National Women’s Month in Ilocos.
Speaking before 8,000 attendees at the Puso Ti Kababaihan District Celebration 2025 at Candon City Arena, Villar emphasized the vital role of women in the community and called on them to stand up for themselves amid life’s challenges.
“I understand the many roles that women juggle—balancing family, career, and personal life. It is important that every woman knows her worth and continues to push forward despite the challenges,” Villar said.
The event, organized in support of Women’s Month, featured various activities, including a zumba session with constituents. Villar expressed her gratitude to Deputy Speaker and 2nd District Rep. Kristine Singson-Meehan, Candon City Mayor Eric Singson, and other local officials for inviting her to celebrate the occasion with the women of Ilocos.
As the campaign season gains momentum, Villar continues to highlight gender equality and women’s empowerment as key pillars of her platform.
