5 hurt as MPV hits center island in Mandaluyong

A family of five was injured after the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) they were riding on crashed onto the center island of Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong City on Sunday, March 9.

According to the Mandaluyong City Police, the Mitsubishi Xpander was being driven by a male senior citizen who fell asleep while driving along Boni Avenue.

Further investigation revealed that the family came from San Mateo, Rizal.

They were immediately brought to the Mandaluyong City Medical Center for treatment, with one of them requiring to have stitches after sustaining a head injury.
