A collision between two buses left 31 people hurt at the Guadalupe EDSA bus carousel on Monday night, March 10, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and the Makati City Police said.
According to the authorities, the crash occurred at around 9:30 p.m. near the boundary of Boni, Mandaluyong, and Guadalupe, Makati.

Based on the statement of one of the buses' conductors, the bus he was on stopped to give way to a motorcycle passing through the center island under the MRT-3 when they were hit by the other bus behind them.
Meanwhile, the driver of the bus that hit the other bus said his bus' brakes failed, causing the vehicle to crash onto the other.
Eight passengers were injured on the bus the conductor was on, while 23 others were hurt onboard the bus that hit them.
First responders were immediately deployed to the area to give first aid to the injured passengers.
Some of them were also brought to the hospital for further treatment.
The incident also caused heavy traffic in the area, prompting the MMDA to issue alternative routes to motorists.
Investigation on the collision is still ongoing.
