Caretaker shoots his live-in partner dead then himself in Batangas

MABINI, Batangas – A 36-year-old caretaker shot his live-in partner dead then turned the gun on himself during an altercation inside their house in Barangay Mainit here on Friday evening, Feb. 28.

Police identified the fatalities as Patrick Imperial and Katherine Cascante, 39.

Investigation said that Imperial shot Cascante with a caliber .45 pistol in the head. Imperial then shot himself in the head. They died on the spot.

A concerned citizen found the couple sprawled on the floor and reported the incident to the police.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
