Fresh from his 26-point and 9-rebound output in their 77-63 loss to the Thunders, Quiambao put up another superb display, leading the Skygunners’ offensive rally all throughout the contest, especially in the payoff period where they captured a 70-52 lead which led them to victory.

The two-time UAAP MVP registered 17 points along with five rebounds, and six assists while Lee Jae-Do and D.J. Burns rifled in 14 and 10 points, respectively, for Goyang.

It was also the fifth straight double-digit scoring – with only six games played – from the former La Salle star since his return from an injury last Jan. 28.

Kofi Cockburn topped Seoul’s scoring department after finishing with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Lee Jung-Hyun scattered 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists in a losing cause.

The result turned into a two-way tie between the Skygunners and the Thunders in ninth place with both squads holding a 12-25 slate.

After firing a 10-0 blast to close out the opening quarter with a 24-9 lead, Goyang continued its onslaught in the following frames that kept Seoul out of striking distance.

Meanwhile, Migs Oczon and the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus rallied late and halted SJ Belangel and the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus’ two-game winning streak with a 69-66 escape.

Gaige Prim spearheaded the Phoebus (23-14) with 23 points while Oczon had a quiet three points. On the other hand, Belangel chalked up 10 points, two rebounds and two steals while Andrew Nicholson tallied 16 points for Daegu (20-17).

In another game, JD Cagulangan and the Suwon KT Sonicboom lost their power as they bowed to the streaking and league-leading Seoul SK Knights, 85-74.

Coming from a back-to-back two-digit outing, Cagulangan was held to five points with one rebound and three assists while Rayshaun Hammonds listed 26 points and nine rebounds which all went down the drain as the Sonicboom fell to fourth spot, boasting a 21-17 card.
