Security guard, tricycle driver arrested in drug busts in Taguig
A security guard and a tricycle driver were arrested by the police after yielding shabu worth nearly P489,000 in two buy-bust operations in Taguig on Feb. 7 and 8.
On Feb. 7, the Taguig Police conducted the sting operation in Barangay Maharlika that led to the arrest of a suspect identified as alias Fahad, a 29-year-old male security guard and resident of the barangay.
The police seized 51.7 grams of shabu valued at P351,560, P500 buy-bust money, and 27 pieces of counterfeit money.

Fahad, tagged by the police as a high value individual (HVI), will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
In a separate operation on Feb. 8, the Taguig Police arrested another suspect identified as alias Jon-Jon, 40, tricycle driver in Barangay Rizal
Operatives from the Taguig Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) confiscated nine sachets of shabu weighing 20.2 grams valued at P137,360 and a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
He will also be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165.

Section 5 of the law refers to the “sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution and transportation of dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals.”
Section 11 is the possession of dangerous drugs. The two suspects are under police custody.
