Through the Matalinong Boto 2025: Balitang Tapat para sa Payapang Halalan campaign, the Manila Bulletin seeks to uphold truth, promote peace, and encourage integrity in the high-stakes 2025 midterm elections.
The midterm polls are held halfway through the incumbent president’s six-year term and set the stage for the presidential elections scheduled in 2028.
“Matalinong Boto 2025” is more than just a hashtag. It has a broad message contained in three “pillars” -- 1. Facts, not fake news; 2. Peaceful elections, not violence; and 3. Respectful discourse, not mudslinging.
