‘Squid Game’ season 2 wins best foreign language series at 30th Critics Choice Awards


Netflix’s hit Korean series “Squid Game” season 2 won best foreign language series at the 30th annual Critics Choice Awards held on Feb. 7 in Santa Monica, California. 

The awards ceremony honored winners in the TV and film categories. 

In the category, “Squid Game” season 2 triumphed over “Pachinko” (Apple TV+), “Citadel: Honey Bunny” (Prime Video), “Acapulco” (Apple TV+), “La Máquina” (Hulu), “The Law According to Lidia Poët” (Netflix), “My Brilliant Friend” (HBO | Max), and “Senna” (Netflix). 

“Squid Game” season 2 received a nomination at the Critics Choice Awards before it premiered on Dec. 26. 

“Shogun” (FX/Hulu) won best drama series while “Hacks” (HBO/Max) won best comedy series.
