OPM artist Jojo Mendrez has slammed a malicious post that linked him to actor Mark Herras.

A statement issued by Aqueous Entertainment, the talent agency that handles Jojo, said Mark and Jojo are good friends.

The complete statement reads: "The post showing photos of our artist Jojo Mendrez and Mr. Mark Herras together is purely malicious content. Jojo and Mark are good friendsâ€”nothing more, nothing less."

Jojo's talent agency mentioned that Jojo and Mark were out enjoying some time together with a group of friends during that outing.

The post read: "Actor Mark Herras spotted with a rich businessman. The person seen with Herras seemed to be the uprising singer who is now trending on social media. The two spotted together in a hotel casino at around 11:30pm last Feb 5, both seems so happy together."

"Purely friendly meet up lang yun at marami silang magkakasama nun. Gumawa kasi si mark ng video reaction para sa kanta ni Jojo na 'Somewhere in my Past,' " a representative from the talent management added.

Jojo has just released the remake of the popular song "Somewhere in my Past," originally done by the late teen star Julie Vega.
