Nueva Ecija cops destroy illegal mufflers

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Police recently destroyed 1,927 unauthorized exhaust pipes seized in this province to address noise pollution and enforce traffic regulations.

POLICE destory illegal mufflers in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

The destruction was led by Police Col. Ferdinand Germino, Nueva Ecija police chief, at the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office parade ground in this city.

A roller truck crushed the confiscated mufflers beyond reuse to ensure that they would no longer contribute to noise pollution or public disturbance.

The activity was part of the NEPPO's ongoing campaign to promote road safety, environmental protection, and public order, in compliance with Republic Act No. 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic Code) and relevant local ordinances.

Germino said it underscores their commitment to maintaining peace and order, fostering safer communities, and responding to public concerns regarding road nuisances.
