'Hanep!' In a rare feat, NCRPO arrests all Metro Manila's 10 most wanted in one week

In what was described to be a rare police accomplishment against fugitives tagged in various heinous crimes, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) accounted all the top 10 wanted persons of Metro Manila in just a span of one week.
The series of arrests of elusive wanted persons were conducted by the tracker teams formed by NCRPO director Brig. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin amid the implementation of new strategies of focusing on wanted persons who would sometimes end up as repeat offenders.
“This is a decisive victory against criminality in Metro Manila, apprehending all 10 of Metro Manila’s most wanted fugitives through relentless intelligence-driven operations in various parts of the country,” said Aberin.
The number one wanted person in the NCRPO list, Ryan Santos who is facing a case of murder, was collared in Caloocan City on Feb. 3 while Gedrieck Rodillas, the number two most wanted and facing a case of murder, was arrested in Manila on Feb. 1.
Also on Feb. 1, the number three most wanted in Metro Manila, James Nogales who is facing a murder case, was arrested in Caloocan City while Michael Cañete, who is facing a murder case and number four in the list, was apprehended in Tondo, Manila.
On Feb, 3, Metro Manila’s number five most wanted and facing a case of statutory rape, Elmer Rivera, was arrested in Parañaque City while the sixth most wanted, Fhel Peter Peñaranda, who is also facing a case of statutory rape, was nabbed in Caloocan City on Feb. 7.
In Legazpi City in Albay, 44-year old male Jennifer de Torres was arrested for case of three cases of statutory rape. He is the number seven most wanted in Metro Manila. On the other hand, the eighth most wanted, Marlon Dayandante, was collared in General Trias in Cavite also for a rape case.
Marvin Jaramillo, Metro Manila 9th most wanted, was arrested in Quezon City while the 10th most wanted, Julio Sindac, was arrested also in Quezon City for a case of frustrated murder.
Aberin commended his men for what he described as unwavering coordination even across distant areas to ensure that every fugitive is brought to justice.
“I congratulate the tracker teams for the arrest of these top 10 most elusive wanted persons in Metro Manila. These arrests are a testament to the relentless pursuit of accountability, ensuring that criminals answer for their crimes and that victims receive the justice they deserve,” said Aberin.
“These operational milestones not only show the level of your efficiency in crime solution but most importantly, these will demonstrate NCRPO’s unwavering desire to deliver justice to the victims of these crimes and their families,” he added.
With the arrest of all fugitives in the Top 10 list, the NCRPO is now conducting assessments to identify the rest of the fugitives that would be included in. the new list.
