Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign manager Navotas City lone district Rep. Toby Tiangco says there's "definitely no plans to replace" Senator Imee Marcos as far as the administration Senate slate is concerned.
Tiangco confirmed this during the meet and greet that Alyansa organized for journalists on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8, just three days before the official start of the campaign period for the mid-term elections.
Asked if the presidential sister would be joining the senatorial slate in its upcoming campaign kickoff in Laoag, Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, Feb. 11, Tiangco said it would be better to just wait and see.
"Abangan na lang natin para mas exciting (Let's just wait for it, so that it would be more exciting)," he said.
Pressed about Senator Marcos' availability, he replied that nobody from the administration slate has indicated that they can't join the sortie.
Despite being listed on the Alyansa slate, Senator Marcos said that she would rather be an independent candidate to avoid conflict.
