Belangel, Pegasus get back-to-back wins in KBL; Quiambao fires 26

After falling behind, 18-12, the Pegasus slowly inched their way before seizing the momentum late in the second quarter and then creating enough separation in the third, 71-52, for their second straight victory.

Andrew Nicholson topped Daegu with 22 points while Jeong Hyo-Woo and Jeong Seong-Woo added 19 and 16 points respectively.

Belangel, for his part, was one assist shy from completing a a double-double with 10 points and nine assists. He also tallied four rebounds and three steals in his 36-minute action – the longest playing time for any player in that game.

Shawn Long paced Ulsan after registering 25 points and 12 rebounds while Jang Jae-Sook came out with 12 points.

The Pegasus hiked their record to 20-16 – tied with the Suwon KT Sonicboom at fourth – while the Phoebus suffered their 14th loss against 22 wins, joining the Changwon LG Sakers at second place.

Meanwhile, Kevin Quiambao continued to make his mark, but the Sono Skygunners still bowed to the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 77-63.

After his career-high 36-point and 12-rebound performance in their 86-82 victory over the Wonju DB Promy to end the Skygunners’ four-game slide, Quiambao logged in 26 points plus nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal in a losing effort.

However, his brilliance was put to waste as Goyang failed to keep pace.
