The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced this on Facebook on Feb. 8.
It was captioned: "THE MOMENT WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...Unveiling the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe competition... Where kindness meets tradition and warm smiles welcome the world."
The last time the prestigious pageant took place in Thailand was in 2018, when Catriona Gray from the Philippines won the crown.
Thailand hosted the Miss Universe contest in 1992, 2005, and 2018. The two Miss Universe winners from Thailand were Apasra Hongsakula (1965) and Porntip Nakhirunkanok (1988).
Prior, the MUO revealed the countries being selected as the host venue for 2025 Miss Universe. They included Costa Rica, Spain, South Africa, Nigeria, the Dominican Republic, and the Philippines.
The Philippines hosted the Miss Universe beauty pageant three times: 1974, 2016, and 2022.
Aside from Catriona, the three other Miss Universe winners from the Philippines were Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), and Pia Wurtzbach (2015).
Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark is the reigning Miss Universe.
