1,768 Cagayan Valley cops promoted


CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – One-thousand, seven-hundred sixty-eight police officers from Region 2 or Cagayan Valley were promoted on Thursday, Feb. 6.

PRO-2 chief Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. inducted the promotees – 38 police commissioned officers composed of nine majors, one captain, and 28 lieutenants and 1,730 were police non-commissioned officers: 210 executive master sergeants, 211 chief master sergeants, 268 senior master sergeants, 446 police master sergeants, 342 staff sergeants, and 253   corporals.

Marallag congratulated them for their promotion. 

“To our newly promoted police officers, you should double your efforts on following your responsibilities for our organization with excellent leadership and extend exemplary services to all people in need of our assistance,” he said.

“You are given a new responsibility to show more exemplary service to the people in Region 2. Your new rank had a corresponding responsibility and dedication of giving justice, fairness, and protection of our people in our communities in the Cagayan Valley region,” he added.

One of the promotees, Police Major Denver Maddawat, deputy commander of the 2nd Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office, vowed to continue bringing excellent service to the public with honor, responsibility, and discipline.
