Senior Deputy Majority Leader Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos has shared the advice that his father, President Marcos told him when the former signed impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
In an interview Friday, Feb. 7, Rep. Marcos said that he purposely sought some words of wisdom from his old man when he put pen to paper.
"Well, katulad po sa sinabi ng ating Pangulo ay nung nagpirmahan na sa impeachment complaint, ay tinanong ko siya kung ano bang advice niya. And tama naman yung sinabi niya," the presidential son said.
(Well, like what our President said when it was time to sign the impeachment complaint, I asked him what his advice was. And he told me the right thing.)
"He said do your duty as a congressman and uphold your oath to the Constitution that you swore to protect," Rep. Marcos said.
"And it is my constitutional duty to go through the impeachment process as an elected representative," added the neophyte congressman.
Rep. Marcos' name and signature appeared first on the list of 215 congressmen-signatories on the duly endorsed and verified impeachmemt rap against Vice President Duterte.
