Peacemaker shot dead in Laguna

SANTA MARIA, Laguna – A man was shot dead while pacifying a commotion in Sitio Sulat, Barangay Parang ng Buho, this town, on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 6.

Police identified the victim as Vicente Kalalo.

Investigation said the suspect Herson arrived at the house of the victim's friend on board a vehicle allegedly drunk.

Herson confronted the victim’s friend and a heated altercation erupted. Kalalo arrived and tried to pacify the commotion.

The suspect insulted the victim that resulted into a heated verbal confrontation. Herson drew a gun and shot the victim who died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds. The suspect escaped fled onboard his vehicle towards Barangay Cueva here.

Police are conducting manhunt operations againt the suspect who faces murder charges.
