After squandering a 24-point lead in the second quarter and enduring a 77-72 deficit midway of the final period, the Sakers sprung back to life and went off to an 18-2 blast to retake the driver's seat and leave the Egis behind.

Tamayo topscored with 21 points, six rebounds and six assists while Assem Marei, who rallied Changwon in the waning minutes of the payoff period, backed him up with a stellar statline of 18 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists.

Yang Jun-Seok added 17 while Jeong In-Deok and Jeon Seong-Hyun contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Heo Ung (24), Cady Lalanne (21), and Choi Jun-Yong (17) topped Busan’s offensive department.

Despite getting their seven-game winning streak halted in the previous contest, the Sakers still looked great in the standings with a 22-14 card at third place while the Egis dropped to 15-21 slate at seventh.

Changwon displayed a masterclass on both ends, listing 32 points and limiting Busan to just 14 in the opening canto and continued its assault in the second frame where it captured its largest lead.

Things turned around in the third period as Ung engineered the Egis’ fightback to level the scoreboard at 64-all and rode on the momentum to enjoy a 72-66 cushion which they eventually relinquished when the Sakers rose from the ashes.

Meanwhile, JD Cagulangan put up stellar numbers in a losing effort as the Suwon KT Sonicboom succumbed to the league-leading Seoul SK Knights, 80-75.

Cagulangan chipped in 11 points on top of three rebounds, five assists, and three steals while Rayshaun Hammonds starred for the Sonicboom with 21 points and 11 rebounds. On the other hand, Jameel Warney sparked the Knights with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
