Bulacan cops hunt down nanny who accidentally poured boiling water on baby
The Bulacan police launched a manhunt for a nanny who allegedly went into hiding after accidentally pouring boiling water on a baby while giving the infant a bath.

The victim being treated at the hospital.
The incident happened last Feb. 1 and was only discovered by the boy’s mother late afternoon of the same day.
The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) is urging the public to report any information on the nanny’s whereabouts to the nearest police station.
According to the police report, the infant suffered first- and second-degree burns on the back and legs due to the incident.
The baby's mother said she was devastated upon seeing her child’s red and swollen skin. The baby was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
In a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage provided by the mother, it showed the nanny bathing the baby at around 9:39 a.m. when the infant suddenly screamed in pain. A few minutes later, the nanny was seen carrying the crying baby out of the bathroom.
Even after moving to the living room, the baby continued wailing in distress.
When the baby’s mother arrived home around 3 p.m., she questioned the nanny, who allegedly gave inconsistent explanations.
"Halos mamatay po ang anak ko, pano na lang kaya kung wala kami that time, pareho kaming hindi nakakauwi ng ganyang oras, paano na lang ang anak ko, anim na oras na nagtiis sa sakit bago siya nabigyan ng first aid na dapat una pa lamang ay sinabe na niya sa amin kung talaga pong nagmamalasakit siya sa anak ko (My son almost died. What if we didn't get home that time? If I hadn't gone home early, what would have happened to my son? My son suffered from the scalding pain for six hours before he was given treatment. He would have been treated earlier if she had told us about what happened if she truly cared for our child), ” the mother said.
“Sana makonsensya ka naman sa ginawa mo sa anak ko. Kung masaya kang nagtatago ngayon, masaya kang nakatakas ka, may batang nagdurusa hanggang ngayon dahil sa ginawa mo (I hope you feel guilty for what you've done to my child. If you are happy that you were able to get away, I hope you know that there is a child suffering until today because of what you did),” she added.
The mother has filed a formal complaint against the nanny at the San Miguel Police Station.
She revealed that the caregiver had been working for their family for eight months and was hired through an employment agency.
The San Miguel police are continuing their investigation and are coordinating with authorities to locate and apprehend the suspect.
