A three year prelude to sapphire


The office of the vice president for public relations and external corporate affairs, Ma. Flordeliza R. De Guzman, MA.Ed. announces the weeklong activity of Saint Bernadette College of Alabang’s 42nd Founding Anniversary, February 6-11, 2025. This year’s theme “SBCA L.I.V.E.S. on @ 42: Fostering Leadership, Inclusivity, Vision, Excellence and Service” The vice president stated that this year’s 42nd anniversary activities are academics, sports, and cultural events; for the enrichment of students and other stakeholders of the college.

First day: 
Thursday, February 6, 2025 –  morning activities

The celebration kicks off via a vibrant motorcade to be participated by the students, faculty members, and stakeholders of the institution. It shall be followed by the opening ceremony which will highlight the parade of colors (Participating teams for Sports Competition), and the much-awaited Mr. and Ms. SBCA Intrams 2025. The stamina and endurance of students from the three departments; Basic Education, Technical Vocational Education Training Department (TVET), and College shall be tested as they compete in a variety of sports activities including basketball, volleyball, and badminton, with public singing events all alongside inter-departmental lunchtime. 

Second day: 
Friday, February 7, 2025 

The celebration continues through the different sports events. The crown of the day shall be the Research Forum, to be hosted by the College Department (College of Teacher Education, and College of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship). The forum is entitled “Scholaris Manum Opus – The First Inter-Departmental Research Forum” aims to gather scholars and other research enthusiasts to one venue for a scholarly engagement. The keynote address shall be delivered by Dr. Jaime Gutierrez-Ang; Dean of MLQU School of Graduate Studies, and Faculty Member of the College Department of SBCA. Eight titles are expected to be read during the forum. Later in the afternoon, the same department shall stage “Laro ng Lahi” which aims to promote Filipino tradition through a demonstration of famous Filipino games. 

Third Day: 
Saturday, February 8, 2025

A number of ball games and other sports exhibitions hosted by the College Department are scheduled. Who will be the champion this year?

A restaurant simulation shall be staged by the TVET Department. Scholars from Cookery NCII, Bread and Pastry Production NCII, and Food & Beverage Services NCII shall participate in the event.

Fourth Day: 
Monday, February 10, 2025 - Morning activities

Performances from the Basic Education Department such as zumba dance spearheaded by the Dance Club alongside Tinig Kiddie and Tinig Teen Bernadettians will be the highlight of the day. For education purposes, an E-Lighthouse (Basic Education’s Newspaper) Seminar will take place. It will also be the day where the TVET Department celebrates the graduation of the TVET Scholars, a great accomplishment for students. 

Fifth Day: 
Tuesday, February 11, 2025 - Morning activities

The culmination of the weeklong activity shall be highlighted by a Thanksgiving Mass, in honor of the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes. Mass Celebrant shall be Rev. Fr. Hansel Marasigan.

On the other hand, the Basic Ed Department activities for the day shall be palaro ng lahi, talent presentation of Mr. and Miss SBCA candidates, and a friendly basketball match between teachers of the Basic Ed Department and the Ball Games Champion team.

Outstanding Alumni shall also be awarded on this day; while, the medical mission of LINGAP BERNADETTIAN program spearheaded by the Campus Health Office, and TVET Department; is in partnership with Muntinlupa City Health Office and other sponsoring Industry Partners.

The president, Dr. Felicitas C. Rabonza shall host a lunch dubbed as A Lunch with the President” for the faculty, staff, administration and other stakeholders.

The weeklong activities shall be concluded with the awarding ceremony late afternoon.   The 42nd Founding Anniversary with the theme SBCA L.I.V.E.S on @ 42: Fostering Leadership, Inclusivity, Vision, Excellence, and Service shall be observed until the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026 closes. 

All faculty members, parents, industry partners, and other stakeholders are cordially invited.
