Pasig court orders Quiboloy's transfer back to Pasig City Jail
A regional court in Pasig City has ordered the transfer of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy back to Pasig City Jail on Feb. 12 after being hospitalized in January.
Quiboloy's lawyer, Israelito Torreon, said they were not happy about the order as they have another motion to file.
"Medyo hindi kami masyado happy doon, kasi meron kaming iba pong motion ipa-file naman (We're not really happy about it, because we have another motion to file) that would be based on his condition and his unique circumstance as a person,” Torreon said.
On Jan. 18, Quiboloy was rushed to the hospital following a recommendation from a Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) physician after the church leader complained of difficulty in breathing while detained at the Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory.
The attending physician at the public hospital where Quiboloy was rushed also advised his transfer to another hospital due to insufficient facilities after he was initially diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia.

Quiboloy has been charged in the Philippines with qualified human trafficking and child abuse—both non-bailable offenses. In the United States (US), he had been charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling.
