PAGASA: 3 weather systems to bring rain across most of the Philippines on February 6
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Thursday, Feb. 6, that three weather systems—the shear line, northeast monsoon (amihan), and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ)—will bring rain to most parts of the country.

In its weather forecast, PAGASA said that these systems are expected to cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, which may lead to flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
PAGASA explained that the shear line will affect the Visayas, while the northeast monsoon will impact areas in Luzon.
Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Romblon, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line, according to PAGASA.
Cloudy skies with rains are expected in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of the Bicol Region due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the "amihan."
The ITCZ, on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the Davao Region and the rest of Caraga.
Likewise, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected in the rest of Mindanao due to the ITCZ.
PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms are possible.
