PAF chopper makes emergency landing in Albay


LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – A Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter made an emergency landing in Purok 5, Barangay Manawan, Camalig town, this province on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 6, due to bad weather.

PAF's Israel-made drone crashes in Bukidnon

Police Major Karlo P. Dy, Camalig Municipal Police Station chief, said that an MD-529MG helicopter with tail No. 503 piloted by Col. Romulo Dilag, group commander of the Tactical Operations Group-5, made the emergency landing.

Dy said that three individuals were onboard the chopper, including the pilot. They came from Lucena City, Quezon on their way to the TOG-5 here. Nobody was hurt and the helicopter landed safely. 

They are expected to spend the night in Camalig and fly to this city on Friday, Feb. 7.

Police, Philippine Army, the Mobile Force Company, and PAF were deployed to secure the aircraft.
