
Four women were arrested by the Makati City Police for selling illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tejeros, Makati City on Tuesday, Feb. 4, Makati City Police chief Col. Jean Dela Torre said.
The suspects were identified as "Rula," 30, and the primary target of the operation; "Tisay," 25; "Cheche," 33; and "Donna," 31.
The investigation said the operatives were able to purchase shabu from Rula, prompting them to immediately arrest her and her three cohorts. The suspects also yielded P102,000 worth of shabu.
"A formal complaint for violating Sections 5 and 11 of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) has been filed against the suspects, who are now in the custody of the Makati City Police Station for investigation and proper legal proceedings," the police said.
“These operations highlight our unwavering commitment to eradicating the threat of illegal drugs in every community. Let us continue strengthening our ties with the public and enhancing collaboration with government agencies. With their support, we can safeguard our communities from the dangers of illegal drugs and ensure that those who engage in such activities are held accountable,” Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Manuel Abrugena said.
