A total of 4,500 job opportunities in Taiwan were offered to Bulakenyos as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) launched a major employment initiative in Barangay Muzon Proper, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

The recruitment drive focuses on factory work, particularly in Taiwan’s booming semiconductor and e-chip manufacturing industry, reinforcing the country's reputation as a global powerhouse in the field.

Public Service Employment Service (PESO) head Perfecto Jaime Tagalog emphasized the significance of such international partnerships in providing skilled and documented workers from San Jose Del Monte with stable employment abroad.

“This job fair is a great opportunity, allowing San Joseños to secure employment without having to travel far just to apply. We continuously hold employer summits to match our local workforce’s skills with the needs of international employers,” he said.

To protect applicants from illegal recruitment, the hiring process is facilitated directly by MECO, ensuring that all transactions are legitimate and transparent.

Additionally, successful applicants will not be required to pay for medical and deployment processing fees, making the opportunity even more accessible to aspiring overseas workers.

The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to creating sustainable job opportunities while ensuring the safety and well-being of Filipino workers seeking employment abroad.
