2024 proved to be a very good year for Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) as the carmaker announced a record 218,019 vehicles sold in the past year. The figure accounts for both Toyota and Lexus vehicles and was shared by Chairman, Alfred Ty.
This record figure means TMP was able to secure 46.66% of the Philippine auto market, a 9% increase compared to the previous year.

Toyota’s achievement has allowed it to achieve a 23rd straight Triple Crown in the local automotive industry: No. 1 in overall vehicle sales, No. 1 in passenger vehicle sales, and No. 1 in commercial vehicle sales. Toyota 63,007 vehicles sold allows it to claim 52.08 % of the Passenger Car (PC) segment. Its 155,012 vehicles (which include the Hilux and Fortuner) sold give it a 44.81% percent of the Commercial Vehicle (CV) segment.
Of this figure, Toyota says that 60,109 units were made up of the Vios, Innova, and Tamaraw (delivered to customers in 2025) produced at the Toyota Santa Rosa, Laguna plant. This accounts for a 6.8% year-on-year increase.

Lexus, Toyota’s luxury car division, sold a total of 2,263 units in 2024. The company notes it’s an increase of 27% over the prior year. This also puts Lexus as the best-selling luxury marque in the country for 2024.
Toyota isn’t the only one celebrating as the industry has announced it reached a record sales total of 474,000 vehicles in 2024, based on figures from member brands of the Chamber or Automobile Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA).
Toyota, together with the rest of the automotive industry are optimistic for 2025 as CAMPI predicts vehicle sales will reach 512,000 units, accounting for an 8% growth.
