MARCOS, Ilocos Norte – A septuagenarian was allegedly stabbed to death by his son during a heated argument in their residence in Sitio 6, Barangay Tabucbuc here on Tuesday night, Feb. 4.

Police identified the victim as farmer Pedro T. Mateo, 79.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was reportedly under the influence of liquor when he had an altercation with his son, Joel, 44, also a farmer, at about 8 p.m.
Joel drew a knife and stabbed his father in the body. Pedro was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead due to multiple stab wounds.
Joel surrendered to the police station after the incident. He faces a parricide case.
