'Matatapos na': Cendaña says VP Duterte's expiration date from power is coming

Akbayan Party-list Rep. Perci Cendaña says newly-impeached Vice President Sara Duterte's expiration date from power is coming.

Cendaña, the sole endorser of the first out of four impeachment complaints filed against the lady official, declared on Wednesday, Feb. 5: "You are impeached, Sara!"

“Sara Duterte’s expiration date from power is near. This impeachment is the people’s verdict against the Dutertes’ long-standing corruption and lack of accountability," he said.

"The message is clear: the era of impunity is ending, and those who plunder and oppress will be held to account,” Cendaña asserted.

During House plenary session Wednesday, 215 congressmen affixed their signatures to an impeachment rap that was subsequently transmitted directly to the Senate.

Cendaña further called the impeachment “the beginning of the Duterte dynasty’s expiration from power, impunity, and plunder".

According to him, the historic move is a decisive victory for the Filipino people and a clear warning to those who abuse power.

Duterte handily won the vice presidential race in 2022 as part of the "UniTeam".
