Barangay Central Bicutan in Taguig apologizes for alleged child abduction
Barangay Central Bicutan in Taguig issued an apology after it warned the public about an alleged incident of child abduction.
The barangay had earlier announced that a child was abducted by people onboard a white van along Bañares Street in Central Bicutan.
“We sincerely apologize for the previous PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT regarding the alleged incident of a child being taken by a White Van at Bañares St, Central Bicutan,” it said.

The barangay said that based on its own investigation, the incident was a different and isolated case not related to kidnapping and that no such incident happened in the area.
“After further investigation, we have determined that it was a different and isolated case but not related to kidnapping. We confirm that no such incident has occurred,” it said.
It added, “We deeply regret any distress or confusion this may have caused to the community. We take full responsibility for the misinformation and are committed to ensuring that only accurate and reliable information is shared in the future. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to work toward fostering a well-informed and safe community.”
