Vlogger apologizes for uploading videos of alleged kidnapping in Muntinlupa
A vlogger has issued an apology after she uploaded videos of an alleged kidnapping in Muntinlupa which turned out to be fake news.
“I apologize to the public fake news poh yong vedio na na post Un Verified Vedio Hindi poh sa munting lupa nang yari at walang insidente na ganyan d2 sa sucat muntinlupa (I apologize to the public. The video that was posted was fake news. Unverified video. It did not happen in Muntinlupa and there was no such incident here in Sucat, Muntinlupa (sic),” vlogger D posted on her Facebook account on Feb. 4.
Before this, D posted three videos on Facebook, warning of kidnappings.
“Ingat pOH Ang lahat Lalo na sa mga studyante kahit matanda walang pinipili puting van kunyari nag bebenta ng kandila ipaamoy sayo mawalan ka ng Malay at yang red na van na Yan matanda kinuha Be a ware ang lahat Lalo na sa mga studyante sana mahuli na Ang mga salarin na Yan nakakatakot Lalo sa ating mga studyante (sic),” she wrote.

In a reply to a comment by a netizen on her post, the vlogger claimed the kidnapping happened in Purok 4 in Sucat, Muntinlupa.
“D2 sa muntinlupa poh sa purok 4 sucat galing SA school pero nabawi рОН Ng magulang yong iba Dyan subdivision kaga I sa may bicuta. Taquig d konalam Kong nakaligtas yong biktima (sic),” she commented.
The Muntinlupa Police were alerted about her post to verify if it was true.
In response, the Muntinlupa Police issued a statement about the unverified videos.
“We strongly urge the public to be cautious, vigilant, and responsible when encountering unverified videos, particularly those involving minors or alleged crimes. Sharing unverified content can have harmful consequences,” the police said.
They added, “The Muntinlupa City Police Station is committed to investigating all reports and responding swiftly to protect the community.”
