The Parañaque City government commemorated the 80th Liberation Anniversary at the Parañaque Veterans Memorial Monument in Barangay San Dionisio on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez and Rep. Edwin Olivarez led the commemoration with a wreath-laying at the monument.

They were joined by Sons and Daughters Associations Inc. composed of the relative of veterans and the Boy Scout and Girl Scout of the Philippines.
Olivarez said the city government honors the veterans who fought for the freedom of the people of Parañaque and the country during the Japanese occupation.
Cong. Olivarez said the city veterans who fought for freedom were composed of salt makers, fishermen, and farmers.
He said the bravery of the city’s veterans must always be remembered.
