Las Piñas LGU receives recognition for implementing provincial product accounts, employment programs

The Las Piñas City government was recognized by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) with a Certificate of Appreciation and a Certificate of Recognition for its contribution to the pilot implementation of the Provincial Product Accounts in Metro Manila.

Las Piñas Vice Mayor April Aguilar said the PSA program focused on estimating the Gross Domestic Product of local government units, underscoring the city’s efforts in supporting data-driven development planning.

In addition to its PSA recognition, the city was commended by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-NCR for its employment programs.

She said Mayor Imelda Aguilar and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Redante Garcia were presented with Plaques of Appreciation for their dedication to improving employment facilitation services, resulting in better socio-economic conditions for residents.

The vice mayor added the PESO also received a special citation for its role as a key job fair site partner in the conduct of national job fairs in 2024.

Aguilar said the awards were presented during the regular flag-raising ceremony at City Hall on Monday, Feb. 3, to recognize the city government's efforts in governance and public initiatives.
