Businessman robbed, killed in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A 59-year-old businessman was robbed and killed in his house in Barangay Malabanban Sur, this town, before dawn on Monday, Feb. 3.

A businessman was robbed and killed by two men in Barangay Malabanban Sur, Candelaria, Quezon on Feb. 3. 

Police identified the victim as Willy Sy.

Investigation said the victim discovered that two armed men have entered his house and seized his daughter.

The victim tried to grab the gun of a suspect but was shot by his companion in the chest.

The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of money.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation and pursuit operation.
