Apple will bring out the Confetti this week

Apple is readying a feature codenamed Confetti. 

It will be launched this week and it seems to focus on Calendar as it introduces events and invites features for the iCloud.

Apple describes it as a new way to invite people to parties, functions, and meetings. It’s part of the iOS 18.3 update so expect this feature to go live anytime soon. 

What I’m curious about is how exclusive or inclusive this feature is. If it’s part of the iCloud, would it require a subscription?   Would it only feature Apple devices, or would Apple hesitantly open their arms to Android, like seeing their distant and awkward cousin every family gathering? 

Apple says that this is the beginning of their updates in Calendar. It’s curious to see what else they are going to do. I mean, are they going to sherlock features from the third-party app calendar app Fantastical? Fantastical, by the way, has an amazing event management feature and looks very pretty. Apple has sherlocked other stuff before, like Journal.  Before Journal, there’s this app called Day One that a lot of people loved. Sherlocked, by the way, means Apple using features from third-party apps and incorporating them into their own apps. 

So, in any case, look forward to the Calendar updates soon.
