Universidad de Manila denies endorsement of online political surveys

The Universidad de Manila (UdM) has issued a statement denying any affiliation to or endorsement of recent online political surveys claiming to reflect the political views of its students.

The university clarified that it has not conducted or authorized any such surveys, urging the public to treat these circulating polls with caution.

The statement comes in response to several social media posts and websites that have been sharing the results of these supposed surveys, which allegedly reveal the political leanings of UdM's student body.

"Universidad de Manila is dedicated to being a non-political academic institution that values integrity, academic excellence, and the well-being of its community members."

The surveys in question have been spreading rapidly across social media platforms, sparking discussions and speculations about the political inclinations of the university's students.

According to UdM, these surveys were not conducted with the approval of any university department or governing body, and the data presented by these online polls may not accurately represent the views of the institution's student population.

Meanwhile, City Administrator Bernie Ang has also expressed concern over the potential for misinformation and the misrepresentation of the university students' opinions.

"Katatapos lang ng pekeng survey sa city employees at PLM. Ngayon UdM naman. Ano susunod? MPD? Barangays? SK? Mahiya naman kayo (Just finished with a fake survey for city employees and PLM. Now it's UdM's turn. What's next? MPD? Barangays? SK? They should be ashamed)," Ang said.
