The Parañaque City government has warned that dengue cases in the city have increased by 20 percent, based on the report of the City Health Office (CHO).
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the CHO recorded 19 dengue cases on January 2024 compared to 116 cases for the same period in 2025 or a 20 percent increase.
Olivarez advised residents to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings to avoid dengue-carrying mosquito to breed.
He particularly told residents to throw waters that may be used as a breeding place, frequent use of insect repellent, and the wearing of long sleeves.
The mayor said those who will experience symptoms of fever, rashes, and severe pain all over the body should seek immediate medical attention or visit their nearest health center for treatment.
