Families displaced by fire to get assistance from Muntinlupa LGU
The Muntinlupa City government will be providing financial assistance to families that were affected by a fire in Barangay Putatan on Jan. 30.
During its regular session on Feb. 3, the Muntinlupa City Council passed an ordinance granting financial assistance to the families.
The fire happened in Marquez Compound in Barangay Putatan at about 10:20 a.m. on Jan. 30.
The Muntinlupa City Fire Station reported that a woman died and four people were injured in the fire.
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon visited the 27 families that were affected by the blaze.

In addition to the financial assistance, the Muntinlupa City government, through its Social Services Department, provided relief assistance to the families consisting of a sack of rice for each family, assorted canned goods, and a package containing family, kitchen, hygiene and sleeping kits.
Biazon said the city government will provide financial and burial assistance to the family of the 73-year-old woman who died in the fire.
The city government reported that 13 houses were razed by the fire, affecting 88 individuals.
