The Tropang Giga endured the absence of their two best players and a scoreless stretch in the final six minutes to come away with the big win that put them on a 2-0 advantage in the semifinals series.

TNT actually looked on its way to a victory, keeping a double-digit spread in the final frame until Rondae Hollis-Jfferson picked up his sixth and last foul with 5:36 left in the game.

It also did not help that TNT’s next best player in Jayson Castro also went down with an apparent knee injury following a hard drive to the basket at the 3:07 mark.

ROS, sensing the momentum going its way, then unloaded a crucial 7-0 run, capped by an Adrian Nocum putback to come within two, 93-91.

The Elasto Painters had several chances to tie the game or even take the lead but the Tropang Giga managed to dodge the huge bullets as Nocum, Gian Mamuyac and Deon Thompson missed their potential game-tying shots.

TNT had the chance to close out the game but ROS' defense forced RR Pogoy to a five-second violation, giving the Elasto Painters another shot at the basket.

Fortunately for the Tropang Giga, Nocum missed a tough fadeaway in the final two seconds to come away with the win.

Hollis-Jefferson finished with 28 points, 10 rebounds, three assists to go with two steals and two blocks before fouling out while Castro added 13 points, five rebounds and five assists before hurting his right knee.

Poy Erram had 11 points and eight rebounds to help TNT hold the fort in the waning seconds while RR Pogoy and Kim Aurin chipped in 10 apiece.

Thompson 22 points and 14 rebounds while Nocum fired 19 for ROS which has now lost four straight games to TNT in the playoffs, dating back to their semifinals series last conference.
