PAGASA: Shear line, ‘amihan’ to bring rain to parts of the Philippines on March 1
Cloudy skies with isolated rains are expected in various parts of the country on Saturday, March 1, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its weather forecast, PAGASA said the shear line affects the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon (amihan) is affecting Luzon.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, and isolated thunderstorms to the Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao regions, PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, the “amihan” will bring cloudy skies with light rains to Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are also expected in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms and periods of moderate to heavy rains.
