Manileños call for return of efficient public healthcare system under Mayor Isko

Supporters and incumbent officials of the City of Manila have called for the return of former Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso's strong and pioneering public healthcare system which received nationwide recognition, especially at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under Moreno's administration, the public saw the creation of critical healthcare infrastructures in record time.
“Covid-19 Field Hospital, natapos in 52 days!," Manila Third District incumbent Councilor Tol Zarcal said when he was asked about the former mayor's leadership during the 2020 lockdown.
Zarcal recalled that when the Manila City Council approved the construction of the Manila Covid-19 Field Hospital, Domagoso promised it would be completed in 60 days—but exceeded expectations by finishing it in just 52 days.
Meanwhile, Manila Third District councilor candidate Mocha Uson highlighted the city’s outstanding performance in handling the pandemic, citing accomplishments recorded by the Department of Health (DOH).
“Doon pa lang sa [krisis ng] Covid-19, sa lahat ng LGU [sa buong bansa], may record naman ang DOH, number 1 ang Maynila sa overall performance sa Covid-19 response. Buti tagarito ako, si Yorme ay Bilis-Kilos talaga, ang tulong hindi pinatatagal (During the Covid-19 crisis, Manila was ranked no. 1 by the DOH based for its overall Covid-19 response. I'm very lucky because I'm a resident here. Yorme really lives up to his promise of Bilis-Kilos where providing help is always the priority)," Uson said.
Domagoso, who is now gunning for the city's top seat, gained widespread support for demonstrating hands-on governance and commitment to public service.
