Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing over P732,000 worth of cable wires at the corner of E. Rodriguez Avenue and Gilmore Street in Barangay Mariana, Quezon City on Friday morning, Feb. 28.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect as Raymond Bernardo, 26, a resident of Tondo, Manila.

According to the report, operatives from the Galas Police Station 11 caught Bernardo and cohorts loading stolen PLDT copper internet cables into their truck.
Police arrested Bernardo immediately while his cohorts managed to flee.

Recovered from the suspect were pieces of gauge cable.
Operatives are tracking down Bernardo’s accomplices.
The suspect will be charged with theft and for violation of R.A. 10515 known as the Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
