Korean found dead inside Silang apartment

CAVITE – A Korean man was found dead inside his apartment in Silang on Thursday, Feb. 27.

A report from the Police Regional Office 4A identified the man as Seong Jun Baek, 67, who lives in an apartment compound in Brgy. San Vicente II.

The Silang Municipal Police Station's initial investigation revealed that Baek had failed to attend a scheduled game at a golf club, prompting his personal golf aide to check on him at his residence.

Upon arriving at the apartment, the golf aide found the door locked, with no response from inside.

The aide sought help from the landlord and, upon opening the apartment, found Baek dead in the bedroom.

The police report indicated that the Korean national appeared to have died of natural causes. The aide, meanwhile, noted that Baek had recently undergone head surgery.
