Heaven Peralejo says no to sexy roles

Considered among hottest actresses of her generation, many are eager to see Heaven Peralejo take on so-called sexy roles.

They shouldn't hold their breath.

The 25-year-old made clear she is not keen on going that route, this, mainly due to her aunt, former actress Rica Peralejo, cautioning her about it.

She told Boy Abunda in a recent interview, “Ang sinasabi niya every time nagre-reunion kami, which was, actually recently nagkita lang kami, sabi niya, ‘Naku, huwag kang magse-sexy ha.'"

Asked why so, Heaven added, “Hindi na daw kailangan. (She told me), ‘Huwag na. Maganda na ‘yung career mo.’"

In any case, she maintained, "Wala naman talaga akong plano (to go that route)."

All that said, Heaven has no problem with people identifying her as someone sexy enough for such roles.

She said, “Actually, it makes, it gives me confidence at some point. Na parang sometimes, oh nga naman, why should I be so insecure with small things when I can be so much more. And sexy, parang anong masama sa sexy? It's part of my job too. I got, you know, endorsements because of it.”
