Boy, 16, nabbed for raping 14-year-old girl in Pasig

A social worker talks to "LCD" and his guardian after he was placed under police custody for his crimes.

A 16-year-old boy was placed under the custody of Bahay Kanlungan in Pasig City after being caught by the police for raping a 14-year-old girl that he has allegedly impregnated.

The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the child in conflict with the law (CICL) as "LCD," who was also tagged as a most wanted person for two counts of statutory rape.

Based on the police report, the Pasig City Police caught LCD on Feb. 25 in Barangay Bagong Ilog by virtue of an Order to take Custody issued by RTC Branch 159, National Capital Judicial Region, Pasig City, dated Feb. 19, 2025, for the crime of two counts of Statutory Rape under Art. 266-A of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5 of 8369.

The boy was then turned over to the City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) to be transferred to Bahay Kanlungan.

According to the police, the victim's family said their daughter was repeatedly abused and raped by LCD, who is a common friend of her brother, in 2023.

Another rape incident allegedly led to the victim being impregnated by the CICL.

This prompted the victim's family to file a complaint against LCD.

EPD acting district director Col. Villamor Tuliao assured that the police will remain vigilant in responding to criminal acts in the region.

“Sobrang nakalulungkot at nakababahala ang mga ganitong kaso dahil halos mga kabataan ang nasasangkot sa ganitong krimen - sexual violence and abuse. As law enforcers, it is our duty and responsibility to take action from such problems not just to solve the crime but primarily to rescue our children who are victims of such, and likewise those who are in conflict with the law. We will always be adherent in delivering our utmost service to serve and protect our community,” Tuliao said.
