A Pasay court on Wednesday dismissed the motion filed by Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz seeking to quash the rape through sexual assault case filed against them by actor Sandro Muhlach.
With this, the arraignment and pre-trial on the case pushed through with both pleading not guilty.
The lawyer of Nones and Cruz, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, told GMA News, "'Yung arraignment po, binasa doon sa dalawang akusado 'yung information o akusa sa kanila. At nag-plead po ng not guilty ang dalawang akusado."

She added, “As usual, hindi okay sa kanila itong case na ito but they are still fighting for this case."
Muhlach, on the other hand, expressed elation relating the development.
“Ito po 'yung pinag-pray ko ever since, 'yung matuloy 'yung rape through sexual assault (case),” he said.
"Kahit anong paninira, pambabaliktad 'yung ginagawa nila sa akin, ipaglalaban ko ito hanggang huli kahit nag-plead sila ng not guilty,” he added.
Prior, the Pasay Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 46 granted the defense’s motion to quash the acts of lasciviousness charges also in relation to the rape case filed by Muhlach.
