Even members of the Philippine training pool can use the pitch to further develop their skills and chemistry in time for big tournaments like the SEA Games.

Located on Level 4 of the country’s largest mall, MOA Sky features five distinct areas including the FIFA-grade Football Pitch, where the women’s team played in an exhibition game.

The Filipinas Homecoming Contest marked the first-ever match at the 1,800 capacity full-sized venue, resulting in a 1-1 draw between Team Blue (mostly new players) and Team White (Women’s World Cup roster).

The event was graced by no less than SM Prime Holdings Chairman Hans T. Sy along with SM Supermalls president Steven Tan, Philippine Football Federation (PFF) John Gutierrez andseveral members of Team Filipinas, including Sarina Bolden, Jackie Sawicki, Queenley Quezada, Chandler and Olivia McDaniels.

“It’s going to be such a big boost in Philippine football… it’s going to be a big help to the growth of football here in the country,” said Gutierrez.

“Today, we don’t just open a new space, we unveil a bold new era for SM Mall of Asia,” said Tan.

“The MOA Sky isn’t just an expansion, it’s a transformation, a realization of a vision set in motion more than a decade ago,” he added. “So that was the direction [and] I remember that vividly. We have to wow our customers. So there you have it, the gift of SM to all our customers is this MOA Sky.”

Aside from the world-class football field, MOA Sky also features the Paw Park – a haven for fur parents, the Amphitheater – a venue for performances and events, the Sanctuary – an ideal spot for relaxation and nature connection, and the North and South Sky Plaza – a vibrant hub for shoppers, diners, and more.

“This is more than just a landmark. It is where art, sports, entertainment, and sustainability all converge into one,” Tan continued.

“This is a destination that inspires and redefines what is possible. And with that, we can now truly say, the sky’s the limit for MOA.”
