Reeling from a three-set loss to La Salle last weekend, Adamson came back roaring with Nitura and Mordi leading the charge to keep Adamson at bay and improve to a 2-1 record.
UE, meanwhile, remained winless in three games.
The 20-year-old Nitura starred anew with 18 points off 16 spikes, one block and one ace along with 11 excellent digs while Mordi added 11 with four excellent receptions.
"Siguro number one 'yong Shaina talaga 'yong leadership nya talaga...," said Adamson coach JP Yude. "Sabi ko nga sa kanya be yourself lang, laruin mo kung anong tini-training mo."
“Kailangan namin madaanan ‘yong mga ganun challenges, kailangan namin ‘yon para makilala si panalo,” Nitura added.
It was the third consecutive double-digit showing for Nitura, who is off to a promising season in just her rookie year.
The pride of Cainta, Rizal scored a freshman record of 33 points against Ateneo and tallied a 16-point performance in Adamson’s loss to La Salle.
