BACOLOD CITY – Mayor Gerry Rojas has offered a P10,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of individuals who shot and injured a dog using improvised dart arrows in Murcia, Negros Occidental.

The Bach Project PH said on Facebook that the dog named Tiktok was shot five times and was helpless, struggling, and in desperate need of care when he was found.
The non-profit animal welfare organization rescued the dog in Hacienda Puyas, Barangay Blumentritt, and was taken to a veterinary clinic here for treatment.
“No animal should endure this. Every moment without treatment is unbearable,” the group said.
Rojas strongly condemned the act of cruelty against Tiktok. He said that such barbaric behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the true values of the people of Murcia.
He offered legal services to fully prosecute the suspects and thanked Bach Project PH for rescuing the dog.
Juan Veterinarian-Bacolod posted an update on Facebook on Wednesday, Feb. 26, saying that Tiktok is improving after the arrows were removed. He said that no major organs were hit.
Bach Project PH said the reward has increased to P65,000 after anonymous donors pledged to help identify the suspects and provide solid evidence. Sen. JV Ejercito pledged P15,000 and others donated P10,000.
“If you have any information, please come forward. Justice must be served for this innocent dog,” the group said.
The group reminded the people to be wary as some individuals may be using their photos and falsely claiming to be members of Bach Project PH to solicit donations.
“While these reports are unverified, we want to ensure your generosity directly supports our mission,” the group said.
The group reminded the public to verify before donating and always confirm their donations through their official channels.
They urged the public to immediately report suspicious activity. “Your vigilance helps protect our community and ensures support reaches those in need,” they said.
