Man arrested for raping 13-year-old friend in Antipolo
A 20-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 25, for raping his 13-year-old friend who stayed overnight at his house in Antipolo City, Rizal.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspect as “Danny,” tagged as a most wanted person at the regional level.
He was arrested the same day the warrant was issued during a manhunt operation by the Tracker Team of Antipolo Component City Police in Barangay San Jose. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 72 in Antipolo City, and charged him with statutory rape with no bail recommended.
According to the police investigation, on Oct. 24, 2024, the victim, who is friends with the suspect, stayed overnight at his house. In the early hours of Oct. 25, the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had previously been arrested in March 2020 in Baras, Rizal, for violating Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act) after assaulting a 10-year-old boy.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Antipolo Component City Police Station.
