Briccio Santos’ "Sentinel (Cognitum)," a solo sculptural exhibition, runs at the Leon Gallery International, Corinthian Plaza, until March 4, 2025. It’s a poignant companion piece to his giant metal Sentinels that can be found at the Legazpi Active Park in Makati. Renowned indie filmmaker, writer, visual artist, and former Chair of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, it’s good to have Briccio Santos and his sculptures as part of the Art Fair Philippines initiative, 10 Days of Art.

At the Leon Gallery International opening night, it was a wonderful mix of fellow artists, friends, and family. And I couldn’t fail to notice how so many of the pieces had red dots attached beside the titles, indicating that they were already sold pieces. A true Renaissance man, I understand that Briccio’s next project will see him return to film-making!
